“Music in the Park” will feature both national and international musicians, performing in a setting designed to be relaxing: The Botanical Gardens at Munda Wanga.
Lawns to lounge, music to let your mind drift away. An atmosphere that is not only relaxing but also inspiring and creative. The scene will interest those in search of cultural inspiration and will open minds in search for more.
The 20th September 2009 will be filled with music, and other cultural activities. We have the following performers programmed for you; Nomakanjani will bring the gardens alive with their energizing rhythms and beats; African songs and some all time favourites will be brought by VOX Zambezi (Lusaka Music Society). Finally a Jazz Extravaganza featuring different Zambian artists, guided by the Elevators.
To accompany this musical event there will be an Art Gallery hosted by Kachere Art Gallery, featuring paintings from the Lungu Brothers Jeff and Jim together with paintings from Lawrence MacTribouy. These Zambian Artists recently featured at the Fresh Paint Gallery in Cape Town.
To soften the pallet during this cultural overdose, we have arranged a wine and cheese tasting. Different wines and cheeses will be available for tasting and purchase.
To entertain the children there will be a variety of activities organised.
